Joy in Work (Kvutzah Schiller)

The kibbutz Kvutzat Shiller (Gan Shlomo), named for the Polish-born Zionist writer and educator Salomon Schiller (1879–1925) who made Aliyah in 1910, was established in 1927 and is located on the southern outskirts of Rehovot. In January 1935, a major education conference organized by the Histadrut took place at the kibbutz. Speakers included David Ben-Gurion, Berl Katzenelson and Gershom Scholem.
